Summary Object

The summary object provides a high-level overview of the test run, including counts of test outcomes and timing information. It offers an at-a-glance representation of the overall state of the run.

Properties

NameTypeRequiredDescription
testsIntegerRequiredThe total number of tests executed in the run. Should equal the length of the tests array.
passedIntegerRequiredThe count of tests that completed with a status of passed.
failedIntegerRequiredThe count of tests that completed with a status of failed.
pendingIntegerRequiredThe count of tests whose status is pending.
skippedIntegerRequiredThe count of tests whose status is skipped.
otherIntegerRequiredThe count of tests whose status is other.
flakyIntegerOptionalThe count of tests identified as flaky. A test is flaky only if its final status is passed and it experienced one or more failed attempts before passing.
suitesIntegerOptionalThe number of test suites included in the run.
startIntegerRequiredWhen test execution began, in milliseconds since the Unix epoch.
stopIntegerRequiredWhen test execution ended, in milliseconds since the Unix epoch. Should be greater than or equal to start.
durationIntegerOptionalThe total duration of the test run in milliseconds. Consumers may compute this as stop - start if not provided.
extraObjectOptionalExtension point for arbitrary summary-related metadata.

All summary counts must be non-negative integers. Timestamps and duration are integers measured in milliseconds.
